Description
As Europe advances towards a climate-neutral energy system, the integration of photovoltaics and energy storage has become more crucial than ever. This webinar, co-organised by the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) and the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), explores how cross-sector collaboration with innovative Storage and PV technologies including grid-forming inverters are shaping the flexible, stable grid of tomorrow. Experts from both the PV and storage sectors provides insights into current market trends, cutting-edge research, and technical solutions enabling high renewable penetration. The event features focused presentations and a dynamic panel discussion, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities at the heart of Europe’s clean energy transition.
Speakers

Jon de Gregorio
Jon de Gregorio is the Director and Scientific Coordinator of the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC), where he leads the strategic development and scientific coordination of the world’s largest conference dedicated to photovoltaic research, technologies, and applications. He is also Head of Unit of Scientific Services and Cooperation at WIP Renewable Energies.
He is a senior expert in renewable energies, environmental science, and sustainability and holds multiple academic degrees, including a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), a Master of Science in Built Environment with a specialization in water resources engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, a Master in Renewable Energies from UNED, and an Executive MBA from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid.
He began his career in the field of the environmental engineering consultancy in Spain, with focus on waste and water treatment, recycling and sustainability, where he was for more than 6 years coordinator and manager of various types of projects and providing technical, legal and scientific advice to internal and external stakeholders. Since joining WIP Renewable Energies in 2013, he has he has been involved in various European and International initiatives aimed at accelerating the Energy Transition and the deployment of solar energy technologies in the energy sector.
