PHD STUDENT PUBLICATION TRACK

Recognising the central role that high-quality journal publications play in the academic development and career progression of PhD students, the EU PVSEC has introduced a new PhD Student Publication Track.

This initiative is designed to further support young researchers by facilitating the transition from conference presentation to peer-reviewed journal publication. After evaluation by the EU PVSEC Scientific Committee, PhD students abstracts accepted for presentation within this track, will be automatically proposed for publication to one of the three collaborating international journals. The journal selection will be made on the basis of scientific quality and thematic alignment. A full paper will have to be submitted to the Journal and the peer review process of these papers will be done independently by the journal, and publication, if the paper is accepted after evaluation, will be in addition to the publication in the Conference Proceedings of the EU PVSEC 2026. Published papers include a note to indicate that results were presented at EU PVSEC.

By strengthening the link between conference participation and journal dissemination, the PhD Student Publication Track enhances the visibility of excellent doctoral research and provides targeted support to the next generation of scientists contributing to the advancement of photovoltaic research and innovation.

How to apply

This process will be managed under the overall umbrella of the Student Awards process on the EU PVSEC Scientific Committee level.

In order to apply for the EU PVSEC PhD Student Publication track, while submitting your abstract via the User Area:

Applicants must:
