CALL FOR PAPERS

Abstract Submission

Authors wishing to contribute to the Conference Programme of the EU PVSEC 2026, 14–18 September 2026, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, should submit an abstract at the latest by 2 February 2026.

Authors are invited to carefully read the topic descriptions and select the topic and subtopic which most closely matches the key novelty of their work. The subtopic descriptions are brief and non-exhaustive, while at the same time self-explanatory so that locating the correct area is straightforward.

Abstracts (in the format of 1 page + up to 3 explanatory pages) shall be written in English and include short sections addressing:

  • Full paper title
  • Full name, affiliation, address, e-mail and phone of one author for all correspondence
  • For all other authors, full name, affiliation and e-mail
  • Summary of the Abstract
  • Applicable topic and subtopic number (e.g. 3.2) and a brief justification of the choice of subtopic to assist the evaluation process.
  • Aim and approach used
  • Scientific innovation and relevance
  • Results or preliminary results and conclusions

“Aim and approach used”, “Scientific innovation and relevance” and “Results or preliminary results and conclusions” provide the basis for the review and programme selection process, so please make sure to address all three aspects.

The total length should not be more than four A4 pages. We recommend a minimum of 2 pages in total to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of your work. We encourage authors to provide enough information to be evaluated correctly. Kindly also note that in case you apply for “Journal Publication” in order to be evaluated correctly, only abstracts with a minimum of 3-4 pages are eligible. Please make sure that this requirement is respected.

Detailed instructions on how to prepare and submit your abstract are given in the “Abstract Submission Guidelines”. Please read these instructions carefully.

Deadline for Receipt of Abstracts: 2 February 2026

Only abstracts complying with the "Abstract Submission Guidelines" can be considered. Please submit one copy of this information as a *.pdf file by using the Online Abstract Submission tool in the User Area.

The person uploading the abstract in the User Area is automatically set as contact person for the abstract. Therefore, please log-in as the person wishing to be the contact person. Please also make sure that your abstract *.pdf file is not password protected.

Each abstract will be reviewed by at least three independent experts from the international PV research community. Accepted papers will be presented in either plenary, oral or visual poster sessions. Authors will be notified of the decision of the Scientific Committee by end April 2026.

Please Note

  • Conference Proceedings: All submitted papers of plenary, oral and visual presentations will be subject to an editorial review process and published online on the EU PVSEC Proceedings website.
  • Citability of Papers: Papers in the conference proceedings are coded by a digital identifier (DOI code). This guarantees an unequivocal and permanent identification and citability.
  • Scientific Journal publication: The authors of more than 200 abstracts will be invited to submit their work as a full paper for peer review and publication in a journal. Interested authors may request that their abstract be considered for this process when submitting.
  • Student Awards: The annual EU PVSEC Student Awards aim to encourage and recognize high-quality work by young researchers. Any registered student may apply when she/he submits their abstract.
