Pre-Event Workshop: EU Projects Proposal Writing – From Vision to Success

Complementing the extensive programme of the EU PVSEC, this interactive workshop takes place on the same day as the PV Academy and offers practical guidance for those looking to improve their skills in preparing successful EU project proposals, particularly under Horizon Europe.

“EU Projects Proposal Writing: From Vision to Success” provides a hands-on introduction to the key elements of a strong proposal. From interpreting calls and developing robust methodologies to demonstrating impact and avoiding common pitfalls, the session combines expert input with interactive exercises and an open “ask-me-anything” round. Participation is limited to ensure personalised feedback and meaningful exchange.

Whether you are preparing your first proposal or refining your approach, this workshop offers a solid foundation for turning ideas into high-quality, competitive project submissions.

Webinar Recording Available: Unlocking the Power of PV and Storage

If you missed our recent webinar “Unlocking Synergies between Photovoltaics and Storage for a Resilient Energy System”, co-hosted with the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), you can now catch up with the full recording online.

As Europe accelerates its path to climate neutrality, the integration of PV and storage technologies is more relevant than ever. This insightful session brings together experts from both sectors to explore technical solutions, market trends, and innovative approaches such as grid-forming inverters. With focused presentations and a lively panel discussion, the webinar highlights the critical role of cross-sector collaboration in building a flexible and resilient energy system.

Whether you are working in research, development, or policy, this session offers valuable perspectives on shaping the future of clean energy in Europe.

Watch the recording and stay informed on the latest advances in PV and storage integration.

PV Academy Third Session: Impact of Photovoltaics on Climate Change Mitigation

After exploring PV fundamentals and long-term performance, the third session of the PV Academy looks at the bigger picture: the role of solar energy in tackling the climate crisis.

In “Impact of Photovoltaics on Climate Change Mitigation”, Prof. Jenny Nelson (Imperial College London) and Prof. Jan Christoph Goldschmidt (University of Marburg) explore the contribution of photovoltaics to decarbonisation, why it has the greatest sustainable potential among renewables and how it became the cheapest source of electricity in the world.

The session will also provide practical tools to assess the actual climate benefits of PV deployment and compare emission reduction scenarios. The second part will focus on the sustainability of the PV industry itself. Opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint through increased efficiency, material selection and decarbonisation of the supply chain will be explored.

From policy to research to implementation, this session will provide you with the knowledge to strengthen the role of PV in climate protection.
