| Parallel Events Programme Now Online The
Parallel Events and Industry Summit have become a much-anticipated part
of the EU PVSEC experience. These sessions offer a space to zoom in on
specific challenges, trends, and opportunities shaping the future of
photovoltaics, from different angles and disciplines.
This year’s programme is now online, and it’s as rich and diverse as
ever. From end-of-life management and second-life PV to floating PV
systems, grid congestion, perovskite innovation, and EU solar
manufacturing, the Parallel Events bring timely topics to the table, sparking focused dialogue between research, policy, and practice.
Meanwhile, the Industry Summit
will dive into what’s next for the PV sector from a business and market
perspective, featuring high-level voices on system reliability,
financing, industrial strategy, and PV's role across energy, mobility,
and telecoms.
If you are looking to connect the dots between science, technology, and industry strategy, these sessions are not to be missed.

| Spotlight on Solar & Storage: Join the EU PVSEC & EASE WebinarAs
Europe accelerates towards a climate-neutral future, the need for
flexible, resilient energy systems has never been clearer. Photovoltaics
and energy storage are at the heart of this transformation, and when
combined, they unlock powerful new possibilities.
On 25 June 2025, the EU
PVSEC and the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) are
teaming up for a joint webinar that dives into this crucial synergy. The
session will explore how cutting-edge PV and storage solutions, such as
grid-forming inverters, are shaping the grid of tomorrow.
Expect focused presentations, expert insights from both sectors, and a
dynamic panel discussion that brings research, market trends, and
technical solutions into one compelling conversation.
Confirmed speakers are:
- Jon de Gregorio
WIP Renewable Energies, Conference Director at EU PVSEC
- Jacopo Tosoni
Head of Policy at EASE
- Grazia Barchi
Team Leader in Grid Integration at Eurac Research
- Dr Robert Kenny
European Commission Joint Research Centre, EU PVSEC Technical Programme Chair
- Silvestros Vlachopoulos
Energy Storage Research Manager at LCP Delta
- Ed McCullough
New Market Entry Lead EMEA at Tesla
If
you're curious about how innovation across sectors can drive Europe's
clean energy transition, this is your chance to find out more.

| PV Academy Second Session: Degradation and Reliability of PV ModulesAfter
exploring PV fundamentals in the first session, the PV Academy now
shifts focus to what happens over time: how and why modules degrade.
In Degradation and Reliability of PV Modules,
Dr David Moser (Becquerel Institute) and Dr Teresa Barnes (NREL) guide
participants through the physical processes behind common failure modes,
from light-induced degradation to corrosion and solder fatigue, and
explain how these are influenced by materials, design choices, and
environmental stressors.
The session also covers key testing and detection methods, including
advanced imaging techniques and reliability modelling, linking technical
insights to real-world system performance and economic impact.
Whether you are in research, industry, or operations, this session
offers a clear and practical foundation for understanding the long-term
behaviour of PV technologies.
Sounds interesting?
