1 TW and counting
Message from the Technical Programme Chair
|
I am pleased to announce the call for papers
for the 40th European Photovoltaic Solar
Energy Conference, which will take place in
Lisbon, 18-22 September 2023.
2022 was the year of terawatt solar - with 1
TW installed globally, there are now ambitious
targets to reach the next TW within as few as
three years! European PV research is
performing well and production technology is
in higher demand than it has been for over a
decade. The PV community is proposing
innovative, affordable and sustainable
solutions for the sector as PV manufacturing
experiences a renaissance in
Europe.
|
We are currently facing the first real global energy
crisis and we need commitment and international
cooperation to tackle it. Therefore, we cordially
invite you to be part of the 40th edition of the EU
PVSEC, the leading platform for knowledge transfer in
PV.
We have arranged the programme in 5 topics as follows
- Silicon Materials and Cells; Thin Films and New
Concepts; Photovoltaic Modules and BoS Components; PV
Systems Engineering, Integrated/Applied PV; PV in the
Energy Transition. The technology topics will
highlight new developments in silicon cells,
perovskites and tandems, amongst others. The Module
and Systems topics cover design, implementation,
performance and operation - including the increasingly
important role of digitalization and machine learning
- as well as the multitude of applications in areas
such as buildings (BIPV), agriculture (Agri-PV) and on
water (Floating PV). The energy transition topic
covers the wide range of multidisciplinary efforts
required to ensure the rapid deployment of PV
technologies on a massive and global scale as a key
element of the ecological transition, including,
technical, storage, economic, sustainability, and
social challenges.

Call for papers open
We are pleased to announce that we officially
opened our abstract submission for
the 40th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference
and Exhibition.
The 2023 conference looks forward to a festive
occasion: it is the 40th jubilee of
the largest scientific conference focused on the
global PV Solar sector.
The EU PVSEC is a
landmark in the global PV landscape
and has been gathering not only the European PV
community but also scientists, experts and
policymakers from around the world for four
decades.
Join us in celebrating the long tradition of the
European Photovoltaic Conference and the revival the
sector is currently experiencing. Be part of the
momentum and shape the programme of the Worlds’s
biggest PV solar energy conference.
Submit your abstract
and get the chance to connect with PV experts around
the globe, learn about and contribute to the latest
innovations in PV, and help advancing PV research and
deployment.
The Conference will be structured along the following
five main topics:
-
Topic 1: Silicon Materials and Cells
-
Topic 2: Thin Films and New Concepts
-
Topic 3: Photovoltaic Modules and BoS Components
-
Topic 4: PV Systems Engineering, Integrated/Applied
PV
-
Topic 5: PV in the Energy Transition

Scientific Journal Publication of selected papers
As every year, EU PVSEC offers its authors the
opportunity to submit conference papers that may be
published in peer-reviewed journals. On top of the
longstanding collaboration with
Progress in Photovoltaics, we also
offer the possibility to publish a selection of our
submissions in Solar RRL and
EPJ Photovoltaics.
With these different options, the EU PVSEC intends to
not only increase the number of high-quality peer
reviewed papers coming out of the conference, but also
expand the breadth of scope and offer a range of
publication options, including high impact factor
journals and Open Access possibilities in different
modalities.

Early Bird Exhibition starts now
After the outstanding success of the exhibition in
Milan 2022 with 74 exhibitors, we
look forward to building on this foundation in 2023
and grow even bigger. We have felt the lively spirit
in the halls of the exhibition and observed how the
renaissance of the European PV industry is taking hold
in all areas of the value chain.
We invite you to join us at the
EU PVSEC Industry Summit 2023 and
exhibit with us
to further promote PV manufacturing, and also to put
your company and your services in the spotlight on an
international stage.
The Industry Summit provides a forum
for the exchange and discussion of industry topics,
connecting policy makers and key players along all
stages of the value chain, which combined with the
business-to-business exhibition, constitutes a key
place to be in 2023 for the worldwide PV industry
agents.
|
We have high expectations for the exhibition
and the Industry Summit in 2023, and we want
YOU to be part of it!
Therefore, we offer a special
Early Bird discount, with
which you can save
10% off the normal stand price. Be quick, this offer is only
available until
31 January 2023.
