This exclusive technical visits will be organised including public transport and a snack at the premises of AIT, Giefinggasse 2-6, 1210 Vienna.
The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is Austria’s largest non-university research institution and takes a leading position in the Austrian innovation system and a key role in Europe as the RTO focusing on the key infrastructure topics of the future. With its seven Centers, AIT regards itself as a highly specialized research and development partner for industry and concerns itself with the key infrastructure topics of the future.
At the Center for Energy, more than 285 experts are working on the energy system of the future. The topic portfolio is based on three central systems: Public Energy Supply Systems, Industrial Processes and Cities & Built Environment. The AIT Center for Energy offers innovative and applied research services to its customers and partners such as industrial companies, energy suppliers, technology providers, cities and municipalities as well as research institutions with its high-quality and specific laboratory infrastructure, many years of experience and scientific excellence of AIT experts.
A guided tour through several state-of-the-art AIT laboratory infrastructures in the key areas of tomorrow’s energy systems - such as photovoltaics (AIT PVLAB), smart grids and power electronic devices (AIT SmartEST Laboratory), DC-systems and components (AIT DCLAB) as well as materials and processes for energy conversion- and hydrogen applications (AIT Functional Coating Laboratories) - will be offered.
The organiser reserves the right to cancel the tours in case of an insufficient number of participants, organisational reasons, force majeure or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the tour impossible. The organiser shall immediately inform participants of such changes. Should the tour be cancelled by the organiser for the above cited reasons, the organiser will refund the technical tour registration fee in full. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded.
